On December 12, 2025, JTHCC Bingo will relocate to its permanent home at 3235 Hospital Drive for its first bingo session since the completion of the building remodel. This reopening marks an important milestone as bingo resumes in the newly updated facility.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., with bingo beginning shortly after 7:00 p.m. Participants must be 19 years or older to play bingo and 21 years or older to play pull tabs.

Guests are welcome to arrive early and wait in the newly constructed atrium, which offers ample seating until the interior hall doors open. While bingo operations are fully underway, portions of the community hall are not yet open to the public. At this time, access is limited to the main hall and restrooms only. Guests are asked to refrain from entering other areas as final preparations continue.

Please note that vending machines have not yet been relocated to our Hospital Drive location. However, a complimentary coffee and tea station will be available, and guests are welcome to bring in or have snacks and beverages delivered. A microwave will also be available for use in the main hall.

JTHCC appreciates the community’s patience during this transition period. While change can present challenges, the updates are intended to create a welcoming and functional space for community gatherings.

The Juneau Tlingit & Haida Community Council (JTHCC) partnered with the Central Council of Tlingit & Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska (CCTHITA) to host a holiday foods distribution for Tribal Citizen households.

Eligible households will receive one food package per household, which includes a free ham and a sockeye salmon filet. The sockeye filet is made possible through American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding, while the ham distribution is supported by JTHCC’s gaming activities.

The distribution will take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the back parking lot of Thunder Mountain Middle School. Distribution will continue while supplies last and will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tribal Citizens participating in the CCTHITA Elders Program may be eligible to have their ham and sockeye delivered. Elders are encouraged to contact CCTHITA directly to confirm they are included on the delivery list.

Participants must bring a Tribal ID to verify eligibility. Tribal Citizens who wish to authorize another individual to pick up their food package on their behalf must email JTHadmin@juneauthcc.org with the following information:

• Tribal Citizen name

• Tribal ID number

• Address

• Phone number

• Name of the person authorized to pick up the food items

Submitting an authorization email does not reserve a distribution package, as all items will be distributed while supplies last.

On December 6, 2025, the Juneau Tlingit & Haida Community Council (JTHCC) hosted its annual Santa’s Workshop event, welcoming children and families for a festive holiday gathering.

The event, made possible through JTHCC’s gaming activities, featured a variety of holiday-themed crafts and activities designed for children of all ages. Participants also had the opportunity to have their photo taken with Santa Claus in the Glacier Photo Booth.

In addition to the activities, each child received a lunch and a bulk recreation ticket, which could be used for swimming, walking, or ice skating.

JTHCC extends special thanks to the Juneau-Douglas High School Cheer Team for volunteering their time and assisting with the event.
